Book Discussion Groups Heat Up January

Phillip Kwik - Posted on 29 December 2012

Keep warm this winter at one of the Troy Public Library book discussion groups. Read and discuss some of the hottest titles with friends and neighbors. The groups meet at different times during the day or week. No registration necessary. Just read the selected title and join the conversation.

The upcoming January groups are:

Booked for Lunch
Wednesday, January 2, 12:15 pm
Life of Pi by Jann Martell

Life Readers
Wednesday, January 2, 7 pm
The Buddha in the Attic by Lisa Otsuka

Mystery Book Club
Tuesday, January 8, 10:15 am
Still Life by Louise Penny

Dan Ewald’s Book Group
Tuesday, January 8, 7 pm
Iron House by John Hart

Non-Fiction Book Group
Wednesday, January 16, 7 pm
Land of Promise by Michael Lind

Whether you read fiction, non-fiction, mystery, or classics, there is a discussion group for you!

What age group is this for?  Would you be willing to do another Life of Pi book club?

The Troy Library Book Discussion groups are for adults, over the age of 18 years. While the Library hosts the meetings, it does not sponsor the groups, nor have control over what they read. The books for discussion are decided by the group member themselves.

If you want to contact one of the group leaders, you might go to the Library's Program Calendar, and find the listing for a discussion group. The group's head should be listed there.
