Free Comic Book Day

On the first Saturday in May each year, comic book shops accross the country encourage the reading of comic books by giving out free comics to the public. Their goal: to reach people who do not normally visit comic book stores or who do not typically read this type of book.

This year TPL will join in spreading the cheer by giving out one free comic book to children who visit the library this Saturday, May 1. Come to the reference desk in Youth Services to get your free comic! Thank you to the Friends of the Troy Public Library for funding this event!
